George Clooney released after arrest at Sudanese embassy

The Actor George Clooney, was arrested and handcuffed outside the Sudanese embassy in Washington for protesting the country's blockage of food and aid to its own starving people. They where arrested this morning and where released a few hours ago.

I want to know why should we send food to the Sudan, but more importantly why can't we send food aid.
